Christopher Hinojosa Named February’s Student of the Month
Chris Hinojosa is an outstanding young man, with a multitude of in and out of school involvement and a ranking of second in his class. With a GPA of over 5.1 and an SAT score of over 1900, Chris will be a great addition to any University.
Chris has excelled in all aspects of high school. He earned a spot on the Principal’s Honor Roll in 9th, 10th and 11th grade, earned the Meritorious Service Award for Human Relations Council, was a College Board National Hispanic Scholar finalist, earned a Superior Distinction for the National Forensics League and earned over 17 different awards and recognitions for achievement in Debate. In addition to his academic success and many accolades, Chris has accumulated almost 600 volunteer hours for his outstanding service to his community.
Chris has participated in many organizations throughout high school. He has been an active member of Debate all four years and served as Captain in eleventh grade. He has been a member of National Honor Society for the past two years, a member of Spanish Honor Society for three years, a member of and tutor for Mu Alpha Theta for four years, and a member of Human Relations Council for three years, where he currently serves as Vice-President of the organization.
Chris is an outstanding young man and an exceptional representative of Western High School! We congratulate him on this well-deserved honor.
