Our football team is coached by Rashad West. WHS prides itself in a high caliber football program. Our season runs from the beginning of school to the end of October/November.

Traditions

Western High School is proud of our great athletes and thanks our coaches for all their dedication and support to our teams.

Students must have a 2.0 unweighted cumulative GPA, a current physical, proof of health insurance and no obligations to participate in any extracurricular activities or be part of any sports team.
Members football, flag football, baseball and softball teams must sign a contract agreeing to steroid testing, if selected.

Every year our football team plays our rivals the Cypress Bay Lightnings. If you missed the game this year be sure to catch it next year as the Wildcat's extinguish the Lightnings.
