The first annual Winter Pep Rally took place in the big gym today during seventh hour. By donating two cans per person over five hundred students were able to pack into the stands to see the spectacles put forth by the SGA, Cheerleaders, and the Boys Basketball Team. The event began with the presentation of colors and the national anthem sung by Ricky Ortega. Excitement levels quickly went through the roof as the rally was kickstarted by an outstanding performance by our Cheerleading Squad, who recently claimed their title as back to back district champions.

Coach Todd was honored by the Varsity Basketball team for his 300th win as head coach and presented with a basketball signed by all of the players on the team. The SGA proceeded to run two shootout competitions, whose participants were selected at random by through their tickets. The Three Point Shootout was won by Shorells through a single elimination bracket. While the Half Court Shootout resulted in a tie between Stanley and Billy. The event was rounded out by a dunk competition between the varsity basketball members, which was won by Casey.
