Welcome back to
Western Wildcats!

 Welcome Back Western Wildcats! I am looking forward to an incredible year ahead of us. On behalf of myself and the Student Government Board, I would like to officially welcome all incoming Freshman and new transfer students. To start off the year, Student Government will put on our traditional homecoming dance on October 24, 2009 at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale. During homecoming week, expect a full week of dress-up days, lunch time activities and a pep rally to pump the Spirit before the big football game against Miramar High on October 23. I encourage all students to come out and enjoy the game, the spirit days and the dance because it will be a memorable event of your high school year. I also challenge you to get involved in some activity or club in the first couple of months we return to school. Even if there is not a club, sport or extracurricular that does not fit your forte, grab a few friends and start one up yourself! If there is ever an issue or anything concerning you, speak your mind and come out to the weekly Student Government meetings and do your part to help out the school. The school activities and charisma does not just end after Homecoming. There will be many other dances, spirit weeks, and pep rallies throughout the year to keep the spirit momentum going! Brace yourselves wildcats, and look forward to an exciting year ahead!

Western High School Clubs and Activities are a great way to get involved and help our school and community.

Clubs are a great way to earn service hours and look good on college resumes. Colleges look for students who are involved with their schools and who have serviced their community.

We encourge you to explore the different and diverse clubs that our school has to offer and to visit their meetings. The sponsors and times of meetings are listed on the coresponding clubs webpage.

We also advise you confirm with the sponsor for times and dates of their meetings and the requirements they might have to join their club.

Most of all have ENJOY! Clubs are a great way to meet new people and have fun in school.
