Bonnie Jenkin Chosen as 2007-08 Non-Instructional Employee of the Year

Bonnie Jenkin started as a Wildcat parent, who was always on campus volunteering or supporting her own kids. Since she was here so often, we decided, six years ago, to hire her as a full-time staff member. Bonnie has worked in many capacities at Western. She has worked as a secretary at the front desk and in the Guidance and Student Affairs offices.
Bonnie has always been extremely involved with the Wildcats. She is the Mentor Coordinator, sponsor for “Take Stock in Children”, Youth Mentoring, and Women of Tomorrow. Because of her extensive work with the “Women of Tomorrow” program, she was named the “Broward School Coordinator” for the 2006-07 school year. Additionally, she earned the title of, “Outstanding Mentor Coordinator” for the 2006-07 school year.

Bonnie currently works in the Student Affairs office and is an asset to our students and staff. She has a positive attitude and works hard to ensure everyone in the office is taken care of.
