CONGRATULATIONS to MRS. MarteL's Esol Students

Fernanda Chaves, Faraz Ali, and Elham Shams did an outstanding job representing Western at the District Academic ESOL Competition on Saturday, the 21st of April.

Fernanda did great in Impromptu Speaking and Declamation, bringing back the "Best Overall Language Mastery" for level A2.

Faraz represented Western in Writing and Impromptu Speaking, winning 'Outstanding' in both categories for level B2.

Last but not least, Elham competed in all three categories for level C1 and won the "Best Overall Language Mastery" in her division.

There was a lot of hard work, time and dedication that went into this county wide contest and the students must be commended for doing such an outstanding job. There are only four overall trophies awarded in the county and to have received two of them speaks volumes.

A special thank you to Mrs. Barbara Schneck for coming to cheer on the students all day Saturday. Mrs. Martel would like to do this again next year to once again showcase our fabulous Multicultural population.
