On October 16, 2006, our golf team traveled to Jacaranda Country Club for the State Regional tournament. The team left the course very proud of their accomplishments, both individually and as a team Western performed admirably. The Western Boy's Golf team played their best golf this season in the regional tournament shooting 312 as a team with Sean Schwartz tieing for 2nd place with an outstanding score of 71.
They participated against 9 of the best teams in South Florida and came in 4th.
The team's score of 312 averaged to 78 for 18 holes. The team was lead by Sean Schwartz with 71, Jarred Martin 77, John Moh 78, Dan Leshin 86, with Corey Chudy also contributing to the result.
This was the culmination of a fantastic season for the boys with a season record of 9-6. They placed 3rd in Districts and 4th in the Regional. They weren't considered contenders at the start of the season but this has changed. This young team's future has no limit and we have high expectations for them individually and as a team.
The team consisted of the largest squad in the history of Western Golf with 14 players on the roster.
