WESTERN HIGH SENIORS TO ATTEND AWARD WINNING ETHICS IN WORKPLACE SEMINAR

One hundred ten Western High School Seniors will hear a motivational speaker, and through a series of activities, will have an opportunity to examine the role of ethics in the decision-making process and explore the application of ethical values to career fields and jobs. The students will attend the school's annual Ethical Decision Making in the Work Place and Society's Seminar on May 22, 2003.

The seminar now in its 13th year, will be held on May 22, 2003, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Signature Grand Convention Center located at 6900 State Road 84 in Davie.

Twelve of Western's business partners will serve as adult leaders during the seminar. At the end of the day, each business partner will present an ethical dilemma to a team of students without providing a solution. The students will need to apply the decision-making processes they have learned in the morning to help their business partner solve the dilemma.

John M. Congemi, Western High School's Assistant Principal, says of the seminar, "Parents, school administrators, and business partners believe that this seminar provides a springboard for the many choices students will have to make, and are totally committed to its success."

The Sunshine State School Public Relations Association awarded the seminar program a 2nd place Sunshine Medallion Award as one of the state, the most outstanding programs.
