She explains that elite colleges are inundated with applications from BWRKs (Bright Well Rounded Kids) and shares the qualities that make one student stand out among the group.

Geeks: How Two Lost Boys Rode the Internet Out of Idaho. Katz, J. A story of two rebellious outsiders who head to the big city to make their fortunes.

Inside the Walls of Troy: A Novel of the Women Who Lived the Trojan War. McLaren, C. McLaren retells the story of the Trojan War from the viewpoints of both Helen and Cassandra.

Pay It Forward. Hyde, C.R. Twelve-year-old Trevor McKinney's extra credit assignment for social studies class takes on a life of its own.
