Alaska
- This is a map of Alaska. Even though Alaska is touching Canada, it is apart of the United States.
- Alaska is a very small state. In Alaska it is very, very cold. It is ALWAYS snowing.
- The Alaska ocean is very cold. There are iceburgs in the ocean and alot of the ocean is covered by ice.
- An iceburg is a big piece of ice that goes hundreads of feet down in the water and it is hundreads of feet tall out of the water.
- Ships have to be carefull while sailing in Alaska because the iceburgs move and they can hit one.
- Iceburgs form when big pieces of ice fall off a mountain.
- These are two pictures of iceburgs. In this picture you can see the actual size of an iceburg. It is big on the top and huge under the water.
- This is some of Alaskas wildlife. These are seals. They live on iceburgs and live in the water. They always travel in large groups and are great swimmers.
- They can survive in the cold weather because of their fat. They have alot of fat under their skin.
